I-PRF is an advanced, autologous, regenerative treatment for hair loss. Autologous means the treatment is derived entirely from your own blood, with no foreign substances and no known side effects.

This treatment works by concentrating the platelets found naturally in your blood. Platelets are rich in growth factors and signalling molecules that play a vital role in tissue repair and cell communication.

How I-PRF Works

A small amount of blood is taken and processed using a specialised low speed centrifugation technique. This concentrates platelets, fibrin, and regenerative cells into a liquid solution that can be precisely delivered into the scalp via injection.

How I-PRF differs from PRP

Both i-PRF and PRP are derived from your own blood, but there are significant, important differences:

I-PRF is processed at a lower centrifugation speed, resulting in a significantly higher platelet concentration, often double that of PRP

I-PRF forms fibrin, a natural mesh matrix, which holds activated platelets in place and allows them to remain active for several days, significantly longer than PRP

This fibrin structure enables a slow, sustained release of growth factors, rather than a short burst with PRP

PRP typically uses an anticoagulant, which can reduce platelet activity over time

As a result, i-PRF is considered more biocompatible, longer acting, and often more effective than traditional PRP treatments.

A minimum of 3 sessions is usually recommended.
