Every journey at Midlands Trichology begins with a consultation.

Accurate diagnosis is key to any treatment as not all treatments work for all hair loss and scalp conditions.

Embarking on a treatment plan without a professional diagnosis can lead to unnecessary expense, little or no results or improvement, and in some cases symptoms worsened. Our consultations are in depth, clinical and fully private and confidential.

What to Expect

Each consultation typically lasts 45-60 minutes and includes:

Full and detailed history taken, discussing your concerns and symptoms, medication and medical history, lifestyle, hormones, and hair care routine
Examination & scalp scan, looking at the hair, scalp and hair follicles using high magnification trichoscopy
Full diagnosis given and explained
Advice and treatment options given. This can include dietry and supplement advice, reading blood results, and all treatment options discussed in full

Patient feedback constantly highlights the depth and amount of knowledge provided during a consultation which is why following your appointment you will receive a report summary giving a clear explanation of diagnosis and all advice and recommendations given, including your bespoke tailored treatment plan. This gives you time to process and digest at your convenience.
